The story behind PLASH
Founded in Switzerland in 2025 by Gerhard Petzl.
​​​​WHO is Gerhard Petzl?
​​​​Hi, I'm Gerhard — an Austrian food innovator, Master Chocolatier & Pastry Chef and, as my friends would say, someone who takes what's in his glass very seriously.
​
I spent nearly a decade in Research & Development at one of the world's leading food manufacturers, working across chocolate and nutrition innovation — and over 20 years as a Consultant, Master Chocolatier and Pastry Chef across Europe, the US, Asia and Australia.
​
Along the way I picked up a few accolades — a Culinary Olympics gold medal, a WACS Global Master Chef certification, in total over 8 gold medals and 25 international awards — but the thing that always drove me wasn't the trophies.
It was the pursuit of the belief that ingredients can be both good for you and great to taste. So when I looked at the world of non-alcoholic drinks and saw shelf after shelf of sugary, artificially flavoured waters and energy drinks, I couldn't just let it go. After a lifetime spent understanding exactly what goes into food and why it matters, I knew someone had to do better. So I decided to build it myself.
That's PLASH.
A mocktail with real flavour and fruit juices, clean electrolytes and absolutely none of the junk. I created it because I wanted a drink I could feel genuinely good about — one that didn't ask me to trade taste for health, or health for taste.

Our mocktails are:

- Low in sugar (only 0,9 g/100ml)
- Low in calories (only 6 kcal/100ml)
- Zero alcohol
- Made with real fruit juices (up to 10%)
- Enriched with essential electrolytes such as magnesium, calcium, sodium and potassium.

These minerals help support hydration, muscle function, and overall balance in the body.

Each drink is carefully crafted to deliver an authentic cocktail taste experience without compromising on health aspects.

We never use preservatives, chemical ingredients or artificial colours - only clean, natural ingredients you can trust.

PLASH mocktails are based on three simple beliefs:

After sampling most non-alcoholic cocktails and flavoured soft drinks on the market, Gerhard kept finding the same problem — too much sugar, artificial flavours, no real nutritional value.
Some products contain up to 40 g of added sugar per can. Others swap sugar for artificial sweeteners and synthetic flavours, while real fruit juice barely gets a mention. For someone who had spent a career obsessing over quality ingredients, it simply wasn't good enough.

PLASH was intentionally designed differently.

In every recipe, taste comes first, followed by natural, functional ingredients – because a drink that’s good for your body should never feel like a compromise.
